DAY 1: DAR ES SALAAM CITY TOUR HIGHLIGHTS
Dar es Salaam is dynamic, colorful and diverse.
Originally a small fishing village known as Mzizima it’s now a bustling
city and hub for East African business and trade. Packed with
interesting culture, history, food and people our Dar es Salaam city tour
will give you a taste of one of East Africa’s most exciting cities. These
are a few of the things you’ll see on the tour:
KIVUKONI FISH MARKET
In the morning after breakfast we’ll pick you up from your hotel
and take you straight to visit Kivukoni Fish Market. Many varieties of fish in
every shape and size are sold here, both retail and wholesale, to city
dwellers, restaurateurs and people from outside the city who know Kivukoni Fish
Market is the best place to buy fish in Tanzania.
NATIONAL MUSEUM TO MWENGE CARVERS MARKET
The Mwenge Carvers Market is made up of small shops
with stands displaying carvings of different kinds, traditional dresses, the
Tinga Tinga paints and more. You’ll be able to browse the stalls, chat with the
carvers and buy souvenirs if you wish.

VILLAGE
After that you’ll visit the Makumbusho Village museum
which is more interactive than the National Museum, allowing you to get a feel
for the whole of Tanzania in a very short time.

with strong historical significance. You’ll be able to see the Uhuru Torch
which was placed here in 1961 to celebrate Tanzania’s independence from
Germany. After the briefing of this tour, we will find the near restaurant for
hot lunch.

After lunch we will drive you back to Airport Transit Lodge Hotel
for your overnight.
DAY 2: Pick up
early in the morning around 07:00 from your place then drive to Mikumi National
Park, we will stop at Morogoro town for breakfast, after breakfast we will
proceed our safari to Mikumi.
On arrival at Mikumi National Park we will
complete the registration process and start our game drive. This is a huge
park so there’s a lot to see including the abundant wildlife of the Mkata
floodplain. We will be looking out for lions surveying their grassy
kingdom as well as giraffe, zebra, impala, elephant and wildebeest.
The birding is also good with many different bird species present such as
hornbills, lilac breasted rollers, crowned cranes and more.
We will stop for lunch at the most beautiful spectacular camp
in Mikumi and continue our game drive after lunch.
In the late afternoon or early evening we will start
the drive back to Dar es Salaam for dinner thereafter we will drop
you back at your hotel. It’s been a long, exciting day and you will have a lot
of amazing stories to share.
